After more Maloof bluster, NBA owners say no to Kings leaving Sacramento

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

After a couple of weeks of (still more) theatrics in which the group trying to buy the Sacramento Kings and move the team to Seattle upped their offer yet again, and the Maloof brothers threatened not to sell the team to the group wanting to keep it in Sacramento, the NBA’s owners have spoken. By a 22-8 vote they rejected the Seattle move today. Commissioner David Stern is talking optimistically about persuading the Maloofs (pictured) to sell now that it appears the Kings definitely aren’t going anywhere soon. AP
