In case you missed it, as I did, Audrey Cooper was named last week as the Chronicle’s new managing editor, succeeding Stephen Proctor, who left to become ME at the Houston Chronicle last year. Cooper, 35, is the first woman in the newspaper’s 148-year history to fill the managing editor’s role. Here’s the Chronicle’s announcement.
