Already log-jammed federal courts in the Bay Area are about to get more clogged, thanks to those across-the-board budget cuts known as the sequester. The San Francisco and San Jose federal courts will close the first Friday of each month until September; Oakland’s branch the first Monday. Judges say they had no better options than to furlough workers in response to the budget hit. Mercury News writes about it.
