Developer wastes no time demolishing landmark East Bay theater

Thursday, May 9, 2013

On Monday Pleasant Hill’s city council voted 3 to 2 against moving to save CineArts, the town’s landmark 1960s era domed art house theater. And on Wednesday—poof—it was reduced to rubble, leaving angry preservationists to complain in vain. And the world gains . . . another Dick’s Sporting Goods store.

ABC 7 has video of the demolition.
