Gavin Newsom a no-show in Marin, citing ‘urgent state business’

Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, like all lieutenant governors, sometimes teased for having little work to do, was a no-show at the Marin Board of Supervisors yesterday. The Lite Guv, who lives in nearby Kentfield, was to have honored Marin County for its best-in-California voter turnout during the November election. But he canceled at the last minute, sending word that he’d been called away on “urgent state business.” Marin IJ
