San Francisco’s Halsey Minor, who sold CNET to CBS for $1.8 billion five years ago but who is today worth, well, nothing much, considering that his debts far outweigh his assets, has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It was quite the run before the fall. His GrandCentral Communications fetched $65 million from Google in 2007. Today it’s called Google Voice. Among his downfalls: houses, hotels, horses and art, Bloomberg Businessweek says.
