Mark Zuckerberg’s naïve (or is it cynical?) entry into the political arena gets a big thumbs down in the Mercury News. To provide “cover” for U. S. Senators to support loosening H1B visas to bring in more skilled tech workers from oversees, Zuckerberg’s PAC is throwing up ads that are all over the ideological map. He’s lauding South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham for opposing Obamacare, and Alaska’s Mark Begich for working to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling, for example. Writes the Merc’s Scott Herhold: “He…has a lot to learn about politics.”
