Come tomorrow it’s curtains for Odwalla’s Half Moon Bay headquarters. The company started in 1980 by three musicians working out of a backyard shed in Santa Cruz and using a $200 hand-juicer, got swallowed up by Coca-Cola back in 2001. And as colorful as it may sound to have its nutrition juice subsidiary HQ’d in Half Moon Bay, the corporate folks have decided to consolidate the headquarters workforce where the stuff is produced—the Central Valley town of Dinuba in Tulare County. About 30 jobs will be lost, the Mercury News says.
