The Sac Bee scores again on the Bay Bridge story. Its revelations last year of conflicts of interest between the Caltrans review panel that judged the bridge’s foundation to be sound and contractors prompted the formation of a new review panel. Now, guess what? The paper’s back reporting the same sorts of conflicts involving members of the new panel.
