Trend: newsroom iPhones with everyone a ‘staff photographer’?

Yesterday’s item about the Chicago Sun-Times getting rid of its entire (unionized) photography staff in favor of freelancers? Well, not exactly. Today comes word via Poynter that the newspaper is to begin mandatory training on “iPhone photography basics” for all editorial employees.
