Warriors bow to San Antonio to end their best playoff run in 36 years

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Party’s over. The Warriors improbable playoff run ended in a flurry of missed shots at Oracle Arena tonight with the San Antonio Spurs doing what they were supposed to do in a 94-82 victory, winning the series 4-2. It was a nice ride of a season that tonight featured: a heroic effort by David Lee; a scary head injury that took rookie and soon-to-be star Harrison Barnes out of the game; a hobbling finish by Andrew Bogut; quality minutes from Andres Biedrins; a bounce back game by Stephen Curry; and a second straight disappearing act from Klay Thompson.

Now the speculation will begin on what the Warriors can and should do lineup-wise to get better come autumn. Chronicle; Mercury News
