Fountain protected? SF planners tell Apple to ‘re-boot’ its store plans

Might not need to worry about the proposal for Apple’s new Union Square store wiping out Ruth Asawa’s beloved fountain. San Francisco planners have essentially told Apple it needs to rethink the concept of the store planned at Post and Stockton streets—including tampering with the fountain. The Chronicle’s John King writes about it.
