Let the sappy name jokes begin. San Jose’s HP Pavilion, aka the Shark Tank to hockey fans, will soon officially be known as the SAP Center at San Jose. The German software giant will pay in the neighborhood of $3.25 million per year for the naming rights, about the same as HP, which has the rights through 2015 but whose chief executive, Meg Whitman, wants an early out.
