Another senseless Oakland murder—girl, 8, at friend’s sleepover

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Alaysha Carridine, 8, was gunned down in a spray of gunfire through the front door of a home in the city’s Dimond District, east of Interstate 580, a few minutes after 11 last night. Her friend, a 7-year-old girl, and the girl’s 4-year-old brother and grandmother were wounded. No suspects arrested, and, so far, no known motive for the crime. Oakland Tribune
