BART and its labor unions met for nearly eight hours overnight with negotiations ending about 2:45 this morning. Each side said there was progress. The talks are to resume this afternoon. A top negotiator for one of the unions said after the marathon session: “We decided we could make more progress if we got some sleep.” Chronicle
