Did fire vehicle run over and kill crash victim? May not know for two weeks

It may be another two weeks before it’s determined if Ye Mengyuan, 16, one of two Chinese students who died after being thrown from Asiana Flight 214 Saturday, died from the crash or as the result of being struck by an emergency vehicle. The Mercury News says that fire officials notified police Saturday that a responding fire vehicle might have struck her during the chaotic moments after the crash. Meanwhile, the Chronicle reports that fire crews have no recollection of hitting the girl.
