Raiders think small, but even so, their new stadium plan falls short

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Sad update from Raiders-land. The team under new owner Mark Davis now says it wants to build a 50,000-seat stadium (which would be the NFL’s smallest) near its current home next to Oracle Arena but would still need hat-in-hand Oakland to kick in $300 million to make it happen. A team-commissioned study figures the NFL would be good for $200 million. And, oh yeah, did we mention the Raiders are offering $300 million themselves? Mercury News
