Yahoo sets its sights on Chronicle Building outpost

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Having opened an office in New York’s Times Square already, Yahoo is said to be on the verge of leasing a new San Francisco outpost—in the Chronicle Building at 5th and Mission. Kara Swisher at All Things D, who broke the news, says it isn’t clear how many floors Yahoo will take in the Chronicle Building’s tech hub but that negotiations are in the advanced stages. The play, apparently: Yahoo would occupy the nicely re-done digs currently occupied by online payments company Square, which is said to be moving to even swankier offices elsewhere.
