After much speculation over what to do with a building that had become too large for its down-sized operation, Contra Costa Times editorial and other staffers will be moving to smaller digs in the same Walnut Creek office park. The building in the Shadelands office park that has long housed The Times—owned by MediaNews Group and published as an edition of the Mercury News—has sold to a developer who will likely demolish it. The newspaper operation, which includes about 100 employees at the site, will move into a nearby building in the same office park that’s expected to be ready by late October. Contra Costa Times
