And it’s a swing and a miss. Barry Bonds’ appeal of his felony obstruction of justice conviction in perhaps baseball’s highest-profile steroid era trial was rejected by a federal panel this morning. In a 3-0 ruling by the Ninth U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the justices ruled there was sufficient evidence to convict the home run king (pictured during his 2011 trial) of obstructing justice for his role in the BALCO scandal.
