KTVU staffer fired for tweeting ‘Oh sh*t’ after Asiana fiasco lands at KPIX

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

Righteous outcome for Brad Belstock, the KTVU staffer fired (along with two others, not counting a fourth staffer who quit) for the station’s Asiana Airlines crash reporting fiasco. Belstock has landed a job at KPIX, aka CBS 5, blogger Rich Lieberman says. Belstock had nothing directly to do with the station’s bone-headed reportage of fake names attributed to the Asiana pilots. His sin: tweeting “Oh Sh*t” as the garbage went out over the air.

If only the station’s management, which has never come clean about how the whole thing happened, could fire themselves.
