The grades 1 through 8 Moraga School District, whose officials spent years ignoring and then years more covering up for two middle school teachers who sexually abused children in the 1990s, has shelled out $1.8 million to settle a lawsuit from a second victim. That comes on the heels of its paying $2.85 million in May to the first victim to sue the district, Cal women’s swim coach Kristen Cunnane. At least two more lawsuits are in the pipeline.
