Will Sunday’s Packers game be as violent as one of Aldon Smith’s parties?

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

Let’s hope not. One of the folks at the 49er linebacker’s June fiesta to which police were called has filed a lawsuit saying he was shot twice in the leg while being caught in the crossfire of a drunken gunfight that included both Smith and former 49er (and now Tennessee Titan) Delanie Walker. As you may recall, two people at the party were shot; Smith was stabbed.

But, oh gosh, what’s a little gunplay among NFLers when there’s football to play, as this adulatory piece about Smith in the Mercury News sports pages Monday attests. Hint: It leads with Smith inspiring students at his old high school in Missouri to pursue their dreams.
